We got the first snow fall of the year this week in Holland, just in time for this week’s #FriFotos, which has the theme “snow and ice“.
It’s no secret that I am not a big fan of snow. It’s cold – obviously – and very hard to get around in, especially when the roads aren’t plowed and salted, as is the case where I live.
There have only been a few days of freezing temps, so the canals have not completely frozen over. However, there is always the hope among many people in Holland that there be an opportunity to ice skate on the frozen canals and that the Elfstedentoch, Holland’s famous ice skating tournament, will take place.
Despite my disdain for the snow, I have to admit it is quite pretty to look at, so I’m posting a few photos from our snowy week for you to enjoy and praying for sun.
