I am not the most organized person. Nor am I good at packing light. These are both very big problems when traveling, and since I kinda do a lot of that, I need a solution. Enter packing cubes. Specifically the TravelWise 3-piece packing cube sent to me by EatSmart to test out.
So far, the cubes have been great at helping me pack my suitcase more efficiently and to stay organized while on the road. The cubes are made of lightweight, durable nylon, with a mesh top panel for easy identification of contents, the cubes come in different sizes helping with efficiency by allowing me to maximize the available space in my bag, and they help me stay organized because I can group similar items or outfits together in one cube making it much easier to find what I’m looking for. It’s so convenient to just unpack the cubes without having to unpack the clothes each time we stayed somewhere. I also imagine that the cubes can be very handy on a trip where I’m moving a lot
from one place to the next, like our summer road trips or Central Europe Tour, for example.
The large cube is 17.5″ x 12.75″ x 4″ and on a single destination trip I use it to pack outfits, I put pajamas and workout clothes in the 13.75″ x 9.75″ x 3.75″ medium-sized bag and unmentionables (blush) go into the small cube, which is 11.5″ x 6.75″ x 3.75″. The corded double zipper pulls are supposed to make opening and closing fast and simple, but need to be more durable. Two of the pulls came off the first time I used the cubes and another one came of the second time I used it. This didn’t prevent the use of the cubes, but I still found it to be slightly irritating.
The EatSmart TravelWise Packing cubes are available to purchase on Amazon.
