The Japanese Garden at Clingendael is the oldest Japanese garden in The Netherlands. Located in Clingendael park in The Hague, the garden was designed in the early 20th century by the owner of the Clingendael Estate, “Lady Daisy”, who sought to interpret the Japanese gardens she’d admired during her travels. Because of the delicate nature of the plants the garden is only open May – mid-June and two weeks in the fall.
