London’s cable car is a high-flying way to not only
get around London, but see a bit of it, too. Emirates Air Line, which is sponsored
by Emirates airline (get it?), connects the North Greenwich Peninsula with the
Royal Docks providing, impressive views of the Docklands and Canary Wharf and
toward the Olympic Park on the short journey across the Thames.

The ride is very gentle, though there is a bit of
rocking sometimes, as it ascends 295 feet above the Thames. This is not the
mode of transportation for those who have issues with heights.
It is suggested
that up to 10 people can ride in a single pod, however, since I have issues
with claustrophobia, I’m not trying to be in a cable car suspended 300 feet in
the air with 9 other people. I’ll kindly wait for the next one, thank you.
