I’m delighted you stopped by! Allow me to introduce myself and share a bit about who I am.

My name is Monique White, a vibrant 50-something woman with a passion for running, traveling, and blogging. For the past two decades, I’ve been living in The Netherlands sharing my life and travels through my blog.

I’m a globe-trotting enthusiast, a Jesus girl, and mother to two adult daughters, Miss P and Miss V, collectively known as The Lovely Ladies. I’m also a wannabe fashionista, adore manicures, and rosé champagne, and can’t resist a fabulous handbag.

Originally from Los Angeles, I’ve also called Indiana, Washington, DC, and Connecticut home before making my way to Europe.

The Origin of “An Unstoppable Journey”

Journeys and travel have always been central to my life. My high school class motto was “Our future. Not a destination but a journey.” I introduced my first blog, Ms. Wooden Shoes, with the words “Life is a trip,” and when it evolved into Mo Travels, I signed-off each post with “Enjoy the journey.”

When I went through a divorce, I took time to refuel and recalculate my route, realizing that my journey was, and remains, unstoppable. I still traveled the world— solo, with The Lovely Ladies, or sometimes with friends—and ran it too. I also remained Ms. Wooden Shoes and continued sharing my thoughts on life in The Netherlands. Hence, “An Unstoppable Journey” was born, symbolizing my enduring passion for travel and discovery.
